DISCOVER THIS WAY  Are you hospitable and do you have eye for detail? Would you like to give our guests an inspirational stay? Then your path begins here as a Public Area Attendant. What are my responsibilities?  As a Public Area Attendant, you play an important role in creating the first impression and ongoing experience of our guests. You ensure that all public spaces of the hotel are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained throughout the day. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across the full footprint of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, a fully renovated, design-led property with a rich variety of guest-facing spaces. These include our lobby, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house areas, as well as our distinctive outlets and event spaces. 
You will report to the Public Area Housekeeping Supervisor, as well as the Housekeeping Managers. 
 You will also: 

• Clean and maintain all public spaces inside and outside of the hotel to ensure a spotless, welcoming environment that reflects the quality and character of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel 

• Support the presentation of our Food & Beverage outlets, Specht Bar & Lounge, Koepelcafé, Janine's Bakery & Restaurant, and our Rooftop Bar & Terrace Cima, ensuring the surrounding guest-facing areas are consistently clean and presentable before, during, and after service 

• Support the cleanliness of the setup and turnaround of all our event and meeting spaces. 

• Maintain our 24/7 Fitness Center, keeping equipment surfaces, floors, and wet areas clean and hygienic throughout the day 

• Respond promptly to guest and team requests across all public areas, based on specific needs 

• Handle and care for premium and sustainable design materials such as natural wood  and custom surfaces, using appropriate cleaning methods and approved products 

• Apply our sustainability standards in daily work: correct use of eco-certified cleaning products, proper waste separation, and proactive reporting of maintenance issues such as leaks or lights left on 

• Contribute to creating a memorable guest experience by ensuring every detail and in every space is taken care of. 

  What are we looking for?  We are looking for an ambassador who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You are flexible, available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts, and comfortable working full-time on a rotating schedule. To exceed guest expectations, you go beyond cleanliness,  you help create a warm and inspiring environment throughout the entire hotel. You understand that in a space like ours, where heritage architecture meets contemporary design and premium materials, how you work matters as much as the result. If you are service-minded, detail-oriented, and enjoy working as part of a team that brings hospitality to life, this role could be perfect for you.  To be eligible for this position you… 

• Communicate fluently in English. 

• Are flexible and able to work mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays with shifts running as early as 06:00 and as late as 00:00. 

• Can't stop cleaning till everything is perfect and have a passion for hospitality. 

• Have an eye for detail and can't stop until every space is exactly right. 

• Available full-time. 

• Able to work in the Netherlands.  

• Enjoy an active role where you are on your feet for extended periods and regularly assist with moving equipment and trolleys as part of daily operations.
