HOTEL THE NOBLEMEN
In May 2021 Hotel The Noblemen opened its doors. Located in a monumental canal house on the Leidsegracht, this fully renovated luxury boutique hotel boasts 13 unique guest rooms and a spa facility.Explorers, inventors, philosophers, doctors and artists - each one of the 13 distinctive rooms represent a great Nobleman of The Dutch 17th Century. With its luxury interior and prime location, Hotel The Noblemen is the ultimate luxury boutique hotel of today, with a soul fueled by the history of yesterday.We are looking for a fulltime or parttime Duty Manager, who is able to steer our team towards operational success on a daily basis. It is a very flexible position in a small boutique design hotel with a young and powerful team in which you will have a lot of independence and feel responsible.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As our Duty Manager, you are fully responsible for the smooth and excellent day to day operation of Hotel The Noblemen. You are the central point between guests, team and management, ensuring that the hotel runs flawlessly.You are the main point of contact for guests and staff and take ownership of service quality, decision making and problem solving. You lead by example on the floor and actively participate in the operation whenever needed, from front office and housekeeping to guest relations and complaint handling.Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, you translate standards and vision into daily practice. In our small and ambitious team, your input directly shapes the guest experience and the way the hotel operates. Your presence and decisions are felt in every corner of the hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Taking full ownership of the day to day operations of the hotel and ensuring seamless performance across all departments during your shift.
• Acting as the operational leader on the floor and the central point of contact for guests, team and management.
• Delivering an exceptional and consistent guest experience that reflects the luxury standards and distinctive story of Hotel The Noblemen.
• Actively managing guest feedback and complaints, turning challenges into memorable service recoveries.
• Monitoring, safeguarding and elevating service quality, cleanliness and operational standards throughout the hotel.
• Coordinating daily priorities, workflows and handovers to ensure continuity and efficiency.
• Providing structured feedback and improvement proposals to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, contributing directly to the evolution of the hotel.
  
  QUALIFICATIONS 
• Proven experience in hospitality, experience in a supervisory position is an advantage but not required.
• Highly guest focused with a strong sense of service recovery and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with both guests and colleagues.
• Calm, structured and solution oriented, especially in a dynamic or high pressure environment.
• Hands on mindset and willingness to actively participate in daily operations.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English, Dutch is considered a strong advantage.
  
  GENERAL DETAILS  
• Fulltime or parttime position with flexible scheduling (minimum 24 hours per week).

Elke van de 13 kamers is geïnspireerd door een vooraanstaande edelman uit de Nederlandse 17e eeuw, zoals ontdekkingsreizigers, uitvinders, filosofen, artsen en kunstenaars.
