- Supervise the day-to-day accounting activities within the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with company policies and procedures;
- Review and verify accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation to maintain the integrity of financial records;
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and support the preparation of financial reports and management information;
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely processing, accurate reconciliations and efficient collection of outstanding balances;
- Review supplier reconciliations, resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure compliance with purchasing and approval procedures;
- Monitor daily revenue postings, review general ledger transactions and ensure all financial transactions are correctly coded and allocated;
- Review cash and banking reconciliations and support treasury and cash management activities whilst safeguarding company assets through effective controls;
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with statutory, tax and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group requirements;
- Supervise, train and coach Finance colleagues, allocating work effectively and supporting their ongoing development;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiencies and support finance-related projects and system implementations;
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment;
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred;
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations and month-end closing processes;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity and attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and thrive in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment.
