DISCOVER THIS WAYDo you have a passion for cleaning and do you love working in an international environment?Do you want to work and grow in a five-star hotel, part of Marriott International?The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has the position of Steward available. What are my responsibilities?As a Steward you are a crucial part of our Kitchen team. You operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. You ensure that the kitchen and storeroom areas are cleaned and disinfected. You receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock. You ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas. You use detergent, rinsing, and sanitising chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes. You inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, and send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing. You sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware, breakdown dirty bus tubs & empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area. You clean and mop all areas in assigned departments. In addition you dispose of glass in the proper containers. You break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.To be eligible for this position you…
