Thanks to our location near Amsterdam Zuid station, both Amsterdam city centre and Schiphol Airport are within easy reach.As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our international guests. From arrival to departure, you will ensure that every guest receives a warm, professional and personalised experience.Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
• Answering questions and providing information and personalised recommendations.
• Handling reservations, emails and telephone enquiries.
• Processing payments, invoices and guest accounts.
• Responding to complaints and resolving unexpected situations professionally.
• Maintaining accurate guest and reservation records in OPERA Cloud.
• Communicating with colleagues, other departments and external partners.
• Identifying commercial opportunities and contributing to guest satisfaction.
• Maintaining the appearance, quality and safety of the reception and public areas.

You will work closely with the Operations Supervisor, your Front Office colleagues and our interns. During most shifts, you will work alongside either another Front Office team member or an intern.What do we offer?

Job requirements
Who are we looking for?We are looking for an experienced Receptionist who enjoys taking responsibility and can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. You are guest-focused, enthusiastic, commercially aware and accurate. Even during busy or unexpected situations, you remain calm, organised and focused on finding the right solution.For this position, you have:

• At least two years of relevant Front Office or receptionist experience within the hotel industry.
• Experience working with OPERA Cloud.
• Good spoken and written Dutch and English.
• A professional and representative appearance.
• A proactive, flexible and service-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication and administrative skills.
• The ability to work accurately and maintain an overview during busy shifts.
• The confidence to make decisions and take responsibility.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to recognise opportunities.
• Availability to work morning, evening, night and weekend shifts.

Full flexibility is not required. Your availability and schedule will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.Please note that professional proficiency in both Dutch and English is required for this position.
