Job description
Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center features three in-house dining outlets and 32 event rooms of various sizes, it is an ideal meeting and relax place at Schiphol Airport. Our menus vary from veg-forward to Asian street food. A kitchen where your creativity can come to life and every day will be different. Main responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef, you will be responsible to supervise the assigned station of the kitchen.
• You will be working with a dynamic team, together you create the best dining experience for the guest in our hotel.
• You will plan and execute menus in collaboration with the other colleagues.
• Consistent achievement of the food production, preparation and presentation. Quality assurance of all produced items and monitor the consistency of the daily operation. 
• Accomplish change, you will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to achieve improvement.
• We are one big team, helping out others is a must – ‘Teamwork Makes The Dream Work'
• You follow all the safety and security policies and procedures of the company.
• Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health.
• Complete opening and/or closing duties. Supervise all cleanliness in the kitchen according HACCP.

Job requirements
Key personality traits:

• You have proven experience and control over excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
• You're able to demonstrate hygiene codes correctly and can show safe use of all materials/equipment.
• You control over all HACCP standards.
• You have a kind knowledge on hotel procedures relating to hygiene, health, fire and safety.
• You have a complete knowledge of the staff handbook and kitchen manual.
• You have strong communication, and can work efficiently under pressure.
• You are creative, professional, and are a master in organization.
• You are exceptional in managing change of any situation.
• You are flexible; available evenings, weekends and on holidays.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch and/or any other language is appreciated.
