A leading shipbuilding company in the Netherlands is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Team Lead for Outfitting to join their team. As the Senior Team Lead for Outfitting, you will oversee the outfitting engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle, from the pre-basic engineering phase through to detailed engineering. You will work closely with a team of (Senior) Outfitting Engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs within the project timelines. Your role will involve reporting directly to the Project Manager Engineering and ensuring the efficient execution of engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead a team of engineers focused on outfitting during both the basic and detailed engineering stages of shipbuilding projects.  Oversee the detailed engineering of outsourced packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.  Provide guidance on work breakdown structures and manage man-hour budgets effectively.  Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs in alignment with project goals.  Supervise engineering team activities within both 2D and 3D environments, using tools such as Cadmatic or Catia.  Integrate vendor and subcontractor data, perform technical evaluations of offers, and support design reviews and checks.  Monitor man-hour expenditures and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager Engineering.  Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and project specifications at all stages.  Contribute to the development of the department by creating and refining engineering standards and working procedures.

Functie-eisen
 A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least five years of experience in outfitting systems engineering.  Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, preferably Cadmatic or Catia, with a background in shipbuilding or offshore installations.  Proven experience in leading mid-sized engineering teams, including effectively structuring work packages.  Knowledge of relevant class and statutory regulations, such as SOLAS, Lloyds Register, and DNV.  Experience collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and applying Good Engineering Practices, with an emphasis on quality and budget management.  Fluency in Dutch, German, and English, both written and spoken.

 Excellent references will be required as part of the pre-employment security screening process.  Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required for this position. Candidates with EU work visas or dual nationality (EU and non-EU) are not eligible, as per the requirements of the projects.
