Job description

As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for identifying and maintaining business opportunities. You are also responsible for increasing turnover through acquisition of new suppliers and customers in these markets. Therefore, it is essential that you are a keen business-relationship builder. You will work in a small team of 3-4 people in our Rotterdam office. This role also involves travel.

Key responsibilities:

Development of international B2B sales (increasing coverage and sales volume).

  • Working with a cross-functional team on foreign trade issues (with the legal department, logistics department, quality department, accounting).
  • Negotiating with key partners.
  • Creating and developing the client base.
  • Expanding the assortment for customers and increasing sales volume.
  • Planning the development of trade activities for the next 1-3 years.
  • Participation in relevant exhibitions and fairs including other countries.
  • Reporting regularly on work results.
  • Automatization and optimization of trade activities.
Job requirements
  • Higher education.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in international trading or business development from which minimum 2 years of experience in working with a subordinate team in a similar position.
  • Competent oral and written speech, clear diction, strong communication skills.  
  • Willingness for international business trips.  
  • Analytical skills, structure.  
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
  • Fluent in English and knowledge of any other foreign language is a plus.
  • Experience in trading the following products is an advantage: fish oil, fish meal, pet food, aqua feed, vegetable proteins.  
  • Residing in the Netherlands, ideally in Rotterdam area.

 

Organisation

NLI B.V., a company based in Rotterdam Centre, is currently expanding its business and is therefore looking for a Sales Manager to work primarily in European markets, but not limited.

Experience in trading animal-based proteins, fish oil, fish meal, poultry meal, poultry fat and vegetable proteins (such as wheat gluten, corn gluten etc.) is preferred.

  • Full-time job in the office (part-time and hybrid work can be discussed with successful candidates).
  • Gross annual salary is 60-85K depending on qualification plus bonus to be discussed in detail with successful candidates.
