We are seeking a dedicated colleague to support our kitchen and restaurant team by ensuring they have all the items needed to provide our guests with the best service. As a Kitchen Steward, your primary duty will be maintaining the cleanliness of dishes and equipment during the hotel's bustling Food & Beverage service. What You Will Be Doing:

• Collaborating with the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Polishing and organising cutlery.
• Thoroughly cleaning and properly storing dishes.
• Maintaining cleanliness and accessibility in the dishwashing area.
• Keeping your workspace tidy and well-organised.
• Caring for kitchen equipment.
• Upholding strict Food Safety standards. (HACCP)
• Cleaning floors and kitchen area

So what can a day look like for you; :)The day begins with the clatter of dirty dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen utensils being sorted and freed of dirt and food remains. Each item is carefully placed in designated racks on the infeed conveyor of the washing/rinsing machine. The machine hums to life, efficiently cleaning the items. For those stubborn stains, manual washing is done to ensure everything is spotless.Morning Team Huddle: As the washing machine runs, the team gathers for a quick morning huddle. Sarah, the team lead, outlines the day's tasks and assigns specific roles. "John, you'll handle the dish washing today. Emily, can you oversee the drying and polishing?" Everyone nods in agreement, ready to tackle their responsibilities.Collaborative Efforts: John and Emily work side by side, chatting about their weekend plans while ensuring each item is thoroughly cleaned and polished. "I can't believe how much we have to clean today," John remarks. Emily laughs, "Tell me about it! But at least we have each other to get through it."Midday Break: Around noon, the team takes a well-deserved break. They gather in the break room, sharing snacks and stories. "Did you see the game last night?" asks Mike, another team member. The conversation flows easily, providing a nice respite from the morning's work.Afternoon Tasks: Once washed and dried, the dishes, glassware, cutlery, and kitchen utensils are removed from the discharge conveyor. They are dried or polished if necessary, ensuring they are pristine. These clean items are then transported to the warehouse space, ready for their next use.Team Coordination: The kitchen itself is not neglected. Floors, walls, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, and waste is removed, leaving the area spotless. Transport trolleys are also cleaned as needed, ensuring they are ready for the next round of use. "Let's make sure we get every corner," Sarah reminds the team. "A clean kitchen is a happy kitchen!"End of Day Wrap-Up: Finally, the clean crockery, glassware, cutlery, and other items are carefully removed to the warehouse using the transport trolleys. The team gathers once more to review the day's accomplishments. "Great job, everyone," Sarah says with a smile. "We really pulled together and got everything done."The day ends with a sense of accomplishment, knowing that everything is clean, organized, and ready for the next day.
