Key requirements

• Flexible availability, since shifts can start in the morning, afternoon, evening, and on weekends
• Available for at least 3 shifts per week. However, the more the better
• Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage
• Living in the area of Rotterdam
• In possession of the right documents to work in the Netherlands

 
What to expect? You start your day by having a look on daily meeting overview. There will be a lunch for 200 guests at 12:00, and after they leave you reset three of our seven meeting rooms. Together with your team, you roll up the sleeves and make yourself ready to push! After moving many tables and chairs, your day is finished and high-five your team after a hard, but fulfilling day of work. Now your day has finished, but you check the overview for the rest of the week; nice, another wedding with 3-course meal this weekend! In short, your responsibilities will include:

• Making sure all banqueting and conference events run smoothly
• Helping plan and carry out activities based on instructions from the Events Manager
• Keeping the work area clean and well-organized
• Handling any guest requests regarding their meeting and/or anything else
• Providing great hospitality to guests and working perfectly together with the amazing Events team
• Staying in close contact with the kitchen and restaurant teams to keep service quality high

Job requirements
Who are we looking for? You are a true team-player with an extensive hands-on mentality. In this highly international environment, you understand the importance of communication and your English skills are well developed. Furthermore, the following would describe you:

• You are a social butterfly who gets energy from getting to know all kinds of people
• Quick on your feet: no situation can slow you down
• Attention to detail: because a perfect meeting/event is all about the little things
• Flexibility: you get energy from working on different parts of the day and weekends are also your playground
• Eager to learn, a positive mindset and strong communication skills
• Basic food safety know-how is great, but we will teach you the rest
